Skate Patrol

JOB DESCRIPTION

 The City of Orillia, Recreation & Youth Services Division is looking for qualified Public Skate Patrollers.

 DUTIES

  • Responsible for supervising the ice surface.
  • Responsible for enforcing rules and regulations in accordance with program procedures.
  • Responsible for effectively overseeing participants with an emphasis on the safety of the patrons while promoting leisure.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance when required.
  • Provide First Aid, and other duties as required.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Applicants must be able to pass a skating assessment. 

 

The successful candidates are required to obtain an acceptable Criminal Record Check at their expense, prior to the beginning of employment.

 

Hours of work will vary depending on the requirements of the individual programs. Evening and weekend shifts may be required for this position in addition to large scale tournaments when applicable.  Compensation for this position is $17.00 per hour. This position will be open for applications until further notice.
